AGENDA ITEM: Addresing the implementaton of sustainable development in post-conflict nations
The Economic and Social Council deals with economic, social, cultural and health matters as well as human rights and fundamental freedoms. It also coordinates the work of the UN and the specialized agencies. As one of the six principal organs of the United Nations, ECOSOC is tasked with promoting international cooperation, sustainable development, and humanitarian assistance. This committee examines sustainable development in post-conflict countries, focusing on rebuilding economies, strengthening governance, addressing social inequalities, and ensuring long-term stability in conflict-affected regions.
